About the Event

Life is changing faster then it ever has before, and we are facing more unknowns, more unrest and we are desparately trying to keep our emotions in balance. In our world, anything that has been hidden, supressed or opressed is rising to the surface to be healed. What if we embrace this movement?

What if instead of trying to contain and control our emotions, we let them move through us?

What if we surrendered our ego that separates us, and spoke up or created a new way of living?

What if we let go of our attachment to the 'more comfortable' past and trusted the purpose of of what is happening now

...and what we are feeling now?

Join me Thursday June 12th at 7pm for a conversation around Surrender and all the complexities that surround it. To discuss surrender we also must check our ego, look at our relationship with trust, and our ability to take action on insights and inspiration.  We will meditate, write and surrender ourselves in an extended savasana....so have your journal and a cozy spot ready.

Surrender had been coming up for me lately; in social media, quotes and in discussion. So, I've been asking myself some interesting questions as of late around surrender, ego, trust, inspiration and action. When I see things more than once in a short period of time, I know it is time to pay attention.

I felt very different about this word years ago. It felt like giving up or waving the white flag. I've given up on a lot of things in life from jobs, to relationships and even have certifications I no longer use.  But what I've realized in some cases is that I was giving up on myself. I gave up because I didn't trust my capabilities, my knowledge, or my ability to make a difference.

At certain times in my life, I've felt like a waste of space.  But surrender doesn't have to mean giving up, or that we have to become the victims of circumstance. What exactly we are surrendering is the important aspect to discern. Who we are surrending to is also important. It also doesn't mean that we aren't taking action.
