About the Event
This is the first 'Yoga Jam' of (hopefully) many. Welcome to Psoas edition!
If you are a yoga teacher, (or a really eager to learn student), this workshop is meant for you!
We will explore strength, release and even the emotional connections of the Psoas or most commonly known as 'hip flexors'.
I struggled with figuring out how to work with tight, stuck hip flexors for a long time. I always had low-back and hamstring issues. Once I started to understand how to work with my body, rather than against it, a lot changed. How I cue around the psoas muscle as it pertains to the whole pelvis is very different!
We will look at some of the most common poses - Downward Dog, Crescent Lunge, Forward Fold.
What types of positioning do we see? Or what are the tell-tale signs of 'too-tight' or 'too-lax' hip-flexors?
