Week 1
Unlocking Your Emotions
Step 1

Watch the Video

You may have already joined me live! Thank you if you did! If you weren't able to make it, please take some time to watch it, or just listen in if you like. This is what we covered.

-
How we likely became Empaths and what that means for us now.
-
Why we find certain emotions so uncomfortable.
-
Why feeling our emotions is so so important (it's like strengthening a muscle).
-
How we numb from feeling all that we feel
-
Introduction to 'the dumping method' or stream of consciousness writing
-
How all of this work comes together to help us regulate

Step 2

Move

This is likely the part that you will want to skip. Please try to follow along with this video at least once. It's only 12 minutes!

Movement is a great way to get out of freeze states, or to calm down from fight or flight. This particular movement sequence (its so simple) can be very soothing and comforting.
Step 3

Listen to the Meditation

As you begin the meditation, especially if meditation is new for you, I just want you to observe. Don't try to get it right, or think there is a right way. You are likely going to have lots of thoughts, and you may want to open your eyes a few times. Do what you have to do.
No judgement or guilt, just notice what happens. It will get easier.

I talk for a minute or two at the beginning, so if you would like to skip it after the first time, go to 2:55.
Step 4

The Journal Pages

You don't need to be a writer to write in this way. You can even type if you prefer!

But if speaking up, expressing your emotions and being heard are things you struggle with, it's likely that you need an outlet. A place to put all the overwhelm instead of keeping it all inside.

If you watched the video, I introduced 'the dumping method' (go back and watch if you don't know what I'm talking about). It gives you a space to put all your stuff.
I suggest doing this daily if you can make it a habit. It can be life changing.

It doesn't need to be perfect, and please, no judgement.
